History
The Sundre & District Allied Arts Society was formed by a group of volunteers in 1993 with the intention to create and foster arts and culture in Sundre, Alberta. This intention quickly grew into the goal of wanting to build an arts facility that could host different groups and events.
The group of volunteers that formed the Sundre & District Allied Arts Society worked tirelessly to fundraise enough money to build the Sundre Arts Development Centre. In 1997 the construction of this facility began. Two years later, in 1999, the doors to the Sundre Arts Development Centre opened to the public.
Today, the Arts Centre is home to four primary user groups that include, theatre, music, dance and school events.
