RAISE YOUR VOICE!
A SUMMER MUSIC THEATRE WORKSHOP FOR KIDS AND TEENS

August 4 - 8, 2026  | Bergen Church | Sundre Arts Centre

Jamie Syer — Artistic Director | vocal and choral coaching
Brian Bailey — drama coaching
Lynley Hall — vocal coaching, staging, choreography
Rhonda Sylvester — vocal coaching, staging
Wendy Read
, Paige Read — choreography
Colette Belanger — costuming
Together, we’ll sing, dance, and perform a selection of songs and scenes from Broadway musicals: shows such as James and the Giant Peach, Legally Blonde, High School Musical, Guys and Dolls, Aladdin, Into the Woods, Godspell and more.

Ages: 8-18. As best we can, we will plan the event to accommodate participants’ skill and experience.

Activities: Every day we will sing as a group, participate in individual and ensemble coaching sessions, learn choreography for our show numbers, and have fun exploring what it means to be a musical theatre singer, actor and dancer, led by people who know.

Preparation: In order to plan the program activities, we need to know how comfortable you are with singing, dancing and acting. If you were not in the cast of B. S. Productions’ Newsies, please make a short performance recording of yourself (no more than 3 minutes). We want to hear you sing something you enjoy. Your video could be a performance of a short musical theatre scene, with singing. Show us your dance moves too, if you like. Be sure the video has your name in the title. Share your video with us using a platform such as WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive. We would prefer that you not upload your video to a public platform such as YouTube, and please don’t send videos directly via email. Ask for help if you need it.

Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, August 4 - 7  |  9am - 2pm each day
Saturday, August 8  |  10am - 4pm including our closing performance

All participants must attend the full program.

Cost and registration:
$300 includes five days of coaching, instruction, rehearsal and performance.
You may reserve your place in the program with a $50 deposit by May 31, along with your completed registration form, and a link to your performance video (if required).
Total payment of $300 due by June 15.

Over the years, her love and passion for music, theatre and performance have continued to grow and blossom. She lives in Stettler, and nurtures the love of music in a large class of vocal students, with a special interest in musical theatre.
